All by design...I think eggs are up because there’s a bad chicken virus. It’s killing whole farms.

Technically the price of eggs is up due to the pre-emptive killing of almost 20 million birds, mandated by the former administration just before leaving office... not trying to be political about it, just laying out the facts... almost 20 million healthy birds were ordered to be killed... in addition to the birds that have actually contracted the avian flu...I know that @Mastermind and @Woodpecker do not want the political bullsheit here and I respect that. I am very political in my views but I really try to keep it off of this great site because that is the rule here. I just have to say that I am sick of the sheit people (on both sides) are spewing about the price of a dozen eggs. Yes they are high, very high but dammit folks it is not because of the political party in charge!!!!!! Do your research!!! Eggs are high now because of a lack of supply. The lack of supply is due to Avian Flu. Go back in history and look at the last time the damn bird flu hit hard. What happened.... eggs skyrocketed. Who was in charge......a different political party. Politics did not cause the egg price to rise then nor is politics causing it to rise now. Should we have learned from the last outbreak? Hell yes we should have but humans are not great learners.
I will gladly discuss the egg price issue but politics are not the root cause.
Two of my spent spools, proof that they held 450 grams of wire.

That been said, a 150 gram spool is basically an empty plastic drum.
I am a red white and blue blooded redneck american and even i know how the metric system works... just push the decimal around.... now converting that to bald eagle freedom units? Nope cant do that....You really expect the majority of readers here to know that 0.45kg is the same as 450 grams?? You give these guys a LOT of credit.![]()
As for the welding wire, i have actually had real good luck with Yeswelder wire off amazon... can your machine fit a 10# spool? (Thats a 4.5kg spool, and yes i had to google that conversionTwo of my spent spools, proof that they held 450 grams of wire.

Actually, I am just stirring the pot since political & religious posts aren't welcome. You really expect the majority of readers here to know that 0.45kg is the same as 450 grams?? You give these guys a LOT of credit.![]()
My inverter welder is small and lightweight, not even meant to hold a 8"/20cm spool. As for the welding wire, i have actually had real good luck with Yeswelder wire off amazon... can your machine fit a 10# spool? (Thats a 4.5kg spool, and yes i had to google that conversion)
I have been running this in my Forney for just over a year now....its nice having a big spool, dont really have to worry about running out mid project....LOL
i see you are running .9mm/.035" wire though, not the .030 that i have been running, but i have done some pretty thick multipass welds with this stuff and none have failed yet (knock on wood)View attachment 450916
A measurement You might understand, 0.45kg is about 1/120th of a young buck, or 1/160th of a grown one.I am a red white and blue blooded redneck american and even i know how the metric system works... just push the decimal around.... now converting that to bald eagle freedom units? I ran out of 0.9mm and currently have 0.6mm loaded into my welder. As for the welding wire, i have actually had real good luck with Yeswelder wire off amazon... can your machine fit a 10# spool? (Thats a 4.5kg spool, and yes i had to google that conversion)

Actually sounds like a good idea.Reported that sounds like a religious cult![]()
BTW,Reported that sounds like a religious cult![]()
I may have chosen my forney over several other competetively priced (or cheaper) brands of inverter flux core welders simply based on the fact that it would fit a 10# spool, as that was the one thing i hated when i learned to weld with a hobart handler 125 is how quick you run out if wire on a 2# spool...Actually, I am just stirring the pot since political & religious posts aren't welcome.

My inverter welder is small and lightweight, not even meant to hold a 8"/20cm spool.
But I may chance getting an affordably priced 5kg spool in 0.8mm gauge and try my luck spooling the wire over to my small used drums.
I welded a M20 bolt to a hatchet with 0.9mm wire, multiple passes, very clean with next to no inclusions as I ground it into shape.
