Looks really good! What are you using to enlarge the case pocket? How much clearance do you think you need between the stuffers and the case?
Im using a dremel with a small sanding disk. I have taken material from the stuffers too. I'd say a few thou. I try to just nibble at it to not go to far.

I also have a plan to use something special from a 357XP with something from a guy with a beard. Both 242 and 357 use Walbro HDAs ;)

Will update when i have everything for the intake setup. Shipping from the states takes like a month.

Does anyone know the depth you install the PTO seal? I installed one to deep and getting it out without destroying it is more or less impossible. New one ordered though.

Maybe it's obvious for some but I want some opinions.

Do you think a full chisel 325 chain would suit this saw the best? I dont think 38cc will run 3/8 C85 very good, will probably try for fun but maybe Stihls 23RSP would be the best for performance? Thoughts?

The newer oilpump is the biggest and the newer style clutch drum. Pump is NLA and the drum is backorder into March

Ya that newest style pump (with the larger worm gear hole) is tough to find... wish I had one -extra- I'd send it to ya. My 242 is a '96 so I got lucky but I dismantled 3 older saws all pre-'94

Def .325 ... I wouldn't load this saw up with a 3/8th's chain it's a high rev HP limber not a torque monster.

Do you think i could just drill the hole larger? Would that work?
Here in Sweden the saw is legendary so people hold onto them hard and want way too much for parts.

Test fitting cylinder and carb setup. Will be running a HDA-98 with a 357XP filter holder. Still have not found a oilpump. View attachment 362029
Can't wait to see this thing running! As for your oil pump: disassemble it then take a dremel and enlarge the hole on the casting for the clutch driven worm gear. Clean everything well after grinding then reassemble. I did it on my 242 and it worked fine.
