I got the black model and the leather just isn't like the brown crazy horse leather I'm used to.way too stiff.i've oiled,snow sealed,waxed,heated and everything else I can think of to help but it's not helped.

There are several different leathers available for the quarry, soles too. I'm going to try the rainforest line next as these quarry boots leak where the sole meets the leather.

Working on breaking my new pair of Matterhorn boots. Never had a pair before so nothing to compare em to. It’s slow going but once I get em broken in I’m hoping they’ll wear well.

I just got some RW Super Sole 2.0. Went with them partly because they have a shop I can walk in to and ask WTF if the crap out quick.

All I can tell you is my Matterhorns broke in quite nicely. They are heavy for sure but very comfy. They are also quite warm ( sometimes uncomfortably warm) with the Kevlar lining.

I just got a pair of Danner quarry 2.0 not long ago and I must say they feel as good as the super rainforest and fit the same.

Only problem with Danner is that they are getting so damn expensive. I wear power foreman gtx and they cost more every time I buy a pair.
