In men back in 1989 they once were a boot maker went long the name.

Knapp boots. They were the *s-word the “two shots” were Carpenter boots. Very good.

Online at warehouses you could still grab some of the last runs yeah they were just real good is all

I just got a my first pair of Matterhorn boots on Thursday. Been trying to break em in round the house, running into the same problem they seem to fit well but make the side of my big toe sore on the left foot & kinda bother my calf’s & ankles. Super stiff. Hopefully they will soften with wear but I’d never make 10 hours in them right now.

The redwing #4420 have been pretty comfortable the last week or so. We’ll see how they hold up.

I'd just have a hard time paying $225 (that's MSRP anyway) for a boot made in Vietnam. I guess I'm my mind, if an imported boot is $100 or $125 I might go for it, but if it's gonna be 75% of the price of a premium American boot I'd rather just bite the bullet. No offense intended by any means, I just think it's nuts that red wing would charge that much for imported shoes.

Power foremans and centurions are USA made too. I just bought centurions after having my old super rain forests. No regrets! Just like super rain forests but a little better.

My super rain forests I bought in 2007 at madsens. They're pretty well clapped but still wearable. I'd rather spend almost $400 on boots than have a cheap pair fall apart at work. Power foremans will be my next pair, heard they're easy on your back which would be nice out in my shop.

Only thing I hate about the super rainforest/ centurions, they're hard on the back but they wear like iron.

I dont know man, I got a pair of quarrys and wear them 12 hrs a day and feet never hurt....mine are steel toe too and I cant even tell. On my 2nd pair, first pair lasted 3 years and I wore them daily. This was the day I retired the first pair.

Strange.i finally broke down and ordered some Double h Loggers.I'm hoping they get here soon.my toenails are killing me.lol plenty of room in the toes it's just that the toe cap they put in the toe is driving my toenails into the hide when I walk.

Yea, I ordered the first pair in too large a size and had to put two pair of insoles in the boot to keep my foot from moving around....that caused my feet to hurt. I ordered the second pair a size smaller and they were snug at first, but perfect now.
