FYI if you own a ford 6.7L diesel you better change out the cp4 hpfp to a cp3 as preventative maint...or end up with a really ugly repair bill north of 10 grand...when the cp4 pump fails it throws a glitter party through every injector.
The CP3 in no way shape or form can fit in where the CP4 mounts. It simply can not physically fit.
I've seen CP4 pumps fail. One was due to gelling. Another was due to a fuel supply issue.
If you always have a steady clean supply of fuel to the CP4 they are not a problem.
