That foam piece that’s there normally usually disappears/disintegrates on 441’s, 361’s ect. that have a lot of time on them. Then the av gets even more floppy. Lol
Some days I wonder how Stihl even sells a saw.If common sense was common everyone would have it.
You would think STIHL would get it together by now and consider the outcome at GTG's
Idiots.
Because the old Stihls are still out there doing what they should be doing and that is working so hens for people still buying them because a logger and tree service guy said there still running there old Stihls and Joe somebody thinks well if them guys are having good luck with there older Saw's then I'll go buy a new one. Myself I love the older Saw's but in my life at this point I'll probably will never own a newer one I'll work on them but that's it the price and longevity just bugs the shirt out of me.Some days I wonder how Stihl even sells a saw.

Cool more old Saw's for guys like me.I prefer the new saws. They are smoother running, have better filtration, get better fuel mileage, and the mtronic saws rev faster. The only breakdown I have had with any of my newer saws, was the gas cap on my 441 broke. All of my Stihl products have been very reliable. I am actually selling all of my older saws.
Saws make styles. AND styles? my young friend. Well 'them' make Cutters. We have a beautiful thing called choiceIf you can't make a living with either breeds new or old you probably shouldn't run a saw for a living <if you run a saw for a living >![]()
Pretty much sums it up right there.Saws make styles. AND styles? my young friend. Well 'them' make Cutters. We have a beautiful thing called choice

I get the clutch cover, but what’s going on with the wrap handle in front of the normal welded intersection ?View attachment 238688 View attachment 238689 View attachment 238690 Here is my 500i that I sold to a friend.
