So how was the 572 running. No throttle blip boggs?
It ran just fine, but when we switched saws, and I got my 500i back...it just felt really good. A lot more power, and less weight.
Power-wise, the 500 feels like a daily driver for us over here, whereas the 462 feels like you are stretching the abilities of it sometimes with a 32.

Some spots are pretty bad. In the best interest of the 500i, I think I might run the 462 and save the 500 for when the going gets better or bigger trees. The 462 is plenty capable here, and I can buy one of those anywhere here, but the 500...
The 500 did great today. It is running better. It just runs a little richer than I had expected.

Just curious were these ever tested out here on the west coast? Wonder if our climate is affecting the injection.

Yes it is... I’ve never had another saw look like this. I know I’ve been back and forth on this saw, but this has gotta be a problem.
Have you taken the rear cover off to see if it leans out a little? Idk if it would make a difference or not, just spitballing

Is it still down running between 10 & 11 grand only or has it picking up some as it breaks in? Other gentlemen said his had a 14,025 high reading when it was plugged in? Yeah it's all good when it's 'undercut/back cut' "down the hill Bill" but as you said, it's certainly be a problem in the brush. Not to mention dog hair and limbs. Limbing should be a fair bit better with square ground on a low rev...But still.

Good points bud, but it's my understanding the manufacturers are programming the auto tuning/mtronic saws for lean tip in for throttle response, but I don't know if that's the case with the injected units.

I know a few crews that use the TS500i with no issues around here
It Is way difference than the chainsaw. Likely a different coil. Maybe flywheel. It has 1/3 less RPM at 9000. It says it's just 72 ccm. 10% less.

Idaho and Western Oregon are completely different climates.
Yes I'm aware of that. Usually we have more issues here due to odd climate conditions that dont happen anywere else in the world. Just 50 miles from me is the nation's only inland temperate rainforest

This is it after 2 more days. Pretty darn wet.

Don`t think so much about it and just use it. Let the saw work. In some kind it is normal that there is a "wet" exhaust if a new machine is not fully broken in. I`ve also seen this on a clearing saw (FS 360 without m-tronic) when they were new for the first few tanks and after the break in process it was gone.

Of course it is different like a cut-off saw. The "control unit" (not coil) and other parts are adapted to the unit in which they are used.
