I really think this thread is a testament to the moderation of this site.
With the melting pot of personalities, there are going to be clashes and drama. No two ways about it.
Allowing the members to hash their disagreements/gripes/questions out, I think, is the proper way to come to a consensus...as long as it is done with respect.
A few members, in the heat of the moment, posted things that crossed the line. It was nice to see most of those posts deleted. Well done
People calling this AS lite....that isn't the moderators fault, it ours. The way I see it, we run this place. But I do wear glasses dot dot dot

Well I think B.C. is in the running as well, but I can't argue with you - Ontario is a socialist *s-word hole just like commieforn-I-eh.

Got back from Yellowknife a few weeks ago. Nice to visit but no way I would live there. Just too bleak - the biggest tree I saw was a scrub coniferous 6" in diameter! And nothing but rock and water (and diamonds!). The fishing is pretty good though, so they have that going for them.

I couldn't live in Yellowknife either.
All in all our little town is a great place as long as you don't want to get rich.
Keys are in all my vehicles,including KW Mack and equipment.
Shop that i built at my industrial lot in 1986 has never been locked,my house is on the same lot now.
Live 1 1/2 hours from "the big city" it's just about far enough away.
The scenery is awesome around here,not much bleakness.I can't stand the heat so the temps here work for me.
Unfortunately the socialist s- word finds it's way up here with all the easterners that come here to get away from it all,then change things to the way it was were they came from.Then the cold gets to them and they flee back east and leave their s- word behind
