chain use

need to cut to shorter lengths two or three expired utility poles, 10-14"od, any problems i should be aware
of using my orig sharp chain or care of after the cut, or maybe a better method ?

Just watch for nails/heavy staples. I’ve cut plenty with a chainsaw. I’ve hit some staples and nails in them quite a bit. As long as it’s clean it’ll cut fine
