I do it all the time to hold those little 1/4" pitch trimmer chains with their .043 drivers

Perhaps the esteemed stihl #1 has friends in Germany who could tell me why the USG machines have a vertical shift of 3 degrees, which turns into a horizontal shift when the head is lowered. There must be some explanation for this. The brackets of USG machines of all years are made with an offset. Perhaps some copies have an incorrectly installed mark and it seems that the head is at 0 in the vertical position. I am adding a link to a video where it is possible to see this live.

As an option, you can install the head from the HOS machine, then there will be no misalignment :)
