Not me. I am a BLIND squirrel that gets lucky.

I honestly openly admit I can not square file and proud of it. :borra2:

@skippy remember what I told you to look at on the PS chain you did. Make sure to look for that on the 325 chain build off chain. :polutxoso:
I will ty

By the way Shaun @SquareFile took us all to the cleaners on the PS build off for the stock echo 39cc cuts. :campeon:

His race chain was very impressive for the saw it was built for.

I have no clue why they dropped off in rd 2 on the ported saw testing though. Like he said witchcraft.
The knife blade got dull I guess.

Get in there and give it a go. :campeon:

Folks got me square filing again last time and I had swore it off since about 2012. Didnt even have a file but was sent on to use.

Trust me it dont go bad like other build offs on other forums etc. We are a drama free forum that adults interact without problems. ;)

Round and square filed entered. Race and work classes too.

All in the thread with what rules for work chain. No date set in stone for this one yet. So we are into March time frame right now.

All in the thread with what rules for work chain.

Here is copy/paste from the other thread to maintain continuity here in this thread.

Things that will separate race from work chain IMO.

Race

Thinned cutters
Stoned cutters
Thinned or reshaped small rakers
Tunneling under cutter
Cut off back of cutters heels etc or angled back of cutter
Grinding or polishing work on rivets
Dog boning
Work on top of inner drive link area ( dont know if most of you do or know about this )
Beveled edges

If sure there is more but my mind is tired right now. If you can add to list please do.

Just want the work chain to be work chain for the guys doing work.

If anything is missing, feel free to add on.

I never ran either of my chains last time either. No testing etc whatsoever. Just filed and entered.

I had alot of older CL left over on a roll. A racer contacted me about buying that roll as I no longer needed it for racing. :cool1:
That guy went on to win Webster last year in the hotsaw class with a Helsel built motor. :campeon:
