Got some outerwears for those 394 hd filters I run. part number 100-4567. Had to do a custom order but thought it might help some others if they have an interest in outerwears prefilter.IMG_0604.JPG IMG_0607.JPG

You can fill out the custom build form in the link or email the lady I talked to at outerwears. Just know that's there is a $15 custom build fee. Plus the filter. Link for custom build. http://www.outerwearsracing.com/custom_oval.asp

Email for the lady I dealt with is nicki@outerwears.com

Yes they stay on well. I really like them on this filter. Filter last a lot longer especially for me as I run an open filter.

Finally installed the complete euro conversion parts on the 661 today. Had the parts for a couple of months. Cut some cookies with it and seems to do well. I will use it next week to cut timber will let you all no how it does.IMG_0679.JPG

I am running the stock air filter setup for now. I may switch to the 394 filter setup again just wanted to see how it does this way first then change things around then.

Just some mock up pics.
Notice in the second pic the brass bushing / spacer. They are 4.5 mm thick. I used the bushing out of a busted 660 top cover. You need them so you don't break the horn or filter base when you tighten the nuts down.

I have found that's a thinner bushing works better. Pulls the filter base in tighter and helps hold the switch shaft better. I made them .139 thick. I started with sleeves from a Stihl hedge trimmer part number 4237 641 4903. They need to be ground, filed or milled to the correct thickness.
