I made it like that to clear the top cover. That saw needs some of my undivided attention as it just "runs".. Not good yet but that saw has had a lot of work done. Its a 2145 with 359 crank and 272 cylinder.Did you make the intake that long to tune it or is it just to make it reach out of the covers to fit the filter on?
It looks fantastic.
I am not exprt but from what I know, a longer intake can help increase low down torque but hampers top end due to aire resistance in the longer tube.
Did you notice any difference in performance when you fitted this. I would love to know if that theory holds for small 2 stroke motors as well and bigger car engines

Made longer studs, 394 filter horn and filter. Works well and sounds good
