Got a saw that seems to get the spark plug quite wet. I cant get the saw to even pop its so wet.
Put the mity vac on it and wont hold presure. ( digured it wouldnt).
Figire its the needle valve. Dont have the propper tool to check it and it looks like it mwter lever sits down below the base of carb.
Should i just tweak the meter lever a bit and recheck to see if it will hold pressure.

I just put a carb kit in. (Just gaskets.)

So you literally mean gaskets and not diaphragms? If the metering diaphragm is slightly stiff it will cause this problem. A weakened or wrong metering spring will also do it.
Here's a pic of the proper setting. The lever is flush with the bottom of the pan. 20170425_124759.jpg

Yep, stiff diaphragm could be culprit if you didn't replace. Assuming gaskets/diaphragms are in the right order, then make sure there's no gunk as mentioned above.
Spark seem ok?

There should be a little play on the lever before it lifts the pin, so it shouldn't lift it at all when the lever is barely pressed.
Little chunks of the sealer they use around the edge of the welch plug will come loose after cleaning with carb cleaner. Use a sewing needle to clean it out if it's there.

Playing with the carb this am. Recleaned needle and seat area and rechecked. It leaks a little but really slow.
Whats your thoughts. Ok or look for another needle.

It should not leak. A leaking carb will allow the saw to fill the crank case with fuel, and then the saw will not start (will feel like a ton of compression). Unless you empty the tank each time, and don't transport it with fuel in it, I would fix the problem. It is a problem I would not want to deal with (often transport full saws on the ATV, etc).

Replacement carbs are very cheap and usually work.

I found a used carb. May pit tje needle from it to this one or try that one first.

Other problem is this isnt my saw and guy dont wanna pit any more money into it. Cant get the new ignition part anymore and cost with shipping on ebay is nuts for a new one.

If the owner does not want to put any money into it, than stop working on it, it is not worth it.
