Jamie has always been a full comp kinda dude. Somebody showed him the light on skip chain.
Thinning and slashing is my background so yes I love my full comp/full house.
I only use skip on the coast for pro falling..

Your terminology is politically correct and that's what the thread is about.

Was down at the saw shop and grabbed a roll of skip chisel. I had a fracture in the handle bar so I got a new wrap.

Always hated slashing but it has to be done the worst is the damn alder/salmon berry patches with a nice mix of black berries always seems like I would draw that part of the patch.

Had saws come alive bore cutting with skip in hardwood.
I like it for everything else though.
Someone here always say's it's because only stihls have enough power to pull full comp.

I use full house on everything up to a 28” bar. Longer then that and I go with skip. And like you said, slashing with skip chain can be a pain in the ass.

Dolmar PS-7900/7910/7310 yawns on 36" full complement in hardwood (turkey oak, beech). ;)

That's why there is at least one of these in existence.
Hint, ignore the box, look at the chain itself. :D

That's called full house instead of full comp. Some people used to make race chains that way long ago.

I know that, that's why I posted it - to make fun of the short bar full skip users! ;)

Full House 72DL = 72 teeth
Full Comp 72DL = 36 teeth
Full Skip 72DL = 18 teeth :cunaooooo:
