I've found that a lot of social media is a cancer pit and promotes controversy as opposed to solid information. Constantly derailed threads and "crabs in a bucket" mentalities.

I guess there are pockets of positivity, but FB is all about engagement and it's a lot easier to engage people who are fighting with each other than people who are just sharing what they know. Also, it's pretty hard to get a history on some people there because there's not anything in regards to post history. Everyone can be an expert that way. Some groups are unmoderated echo chambers where anybody can make a comment without having to be accountable to it. Feeding the egos of the group owner/select few.

Say something negative about the brand.

Never done much with a chainsaw?
Post pics of a dirty saw and say you did anyways.

It’s unfortunate the way the whole bbr thing went down because now a large portion of his followers wouldn’t even look at one of your parts because he Kenzie has him believing that we’re all a bunch of know nothings. He’s probably forgotten that he learned and got his start here getting information from other members but since he got in the “in crowd of YouTube”he feels the need to be there. All in all it’s his fault he’s not here and deep inside he knows it, defended pot metal pony till his death through all the warnings he had. He knows that saw was messed up and that he kept the “out of round” oem cylinder but refused to acknowledge that so it makes him part of that too in my opinion. As far as the iron pony video about not porting other people’s saws unless he knows you that may have saved people thousands of dollars since “2 stroke academy” will only hose close friends now.

And is seems to be the same in all niche interests... Gundogs, Field trials, you name it! Much of people's fragile egos are tied up in their online personae.

I guess it's one of our human frailties... Since the day we lived in caves, we have a need to fit into a group.. generally, the one in power.

So... I posted a 461 video, said hi to fabz, and helped a fella answer his question about the sealant he bought and commented further on it and that made him leave the forum he started and scrub it all squeaky clean? Alrighty then.
Or was it because I offered to help Matt here??? Surely would hope not.
And no we've never met, I did help him with some trouble he was having with some mods he was making one time(also scrubbed clean), this being just prior to the whole IH debacle that I was vocal about inaccuracy's, mechanical falsehoods and downright impossibility's to help forum members trying to learn something, not get taken down the wrong road. If that's my high crimes and misdemeanors then I plead guilty.
The only thing I'm peeved about is I'm surely not as big an ass as Randy. Lol

..and no Mike, you're not a crappy person, quite rather just the opposite I would say. As I recall you were a pleasure to work with and would do so again anytime. Sorry if all my meanness is dragging you down.

Steve, now the dirty truth comes out. When they need you they gladly accept help. Once they don't need you they go on the attack. I have had this happen to me in my career multiple times.

This explains why the double standard coward attacked you in the 1st place. As I listened to the dillusional ramblings, I said wait a minute, that is not the experience I had with Steve or Randy, what gives?

Next go around ill do a limited run of pink and maybe olive drab for the military saws. Although...if you can find pink rit dye then you can dye one of my white ones. @lehman live edge slab

They make the rit dye in every color just about, so the white nylon tops could be made any color you want. If you had all the plastic made out of white a person could make the saw anything you wanted. Like the 372xp in wild thing colors that I think Scott did ect.
