I and the other FIL are thinking of getting a Blackstone for his son (my SIL).

28" or 36". Right now, the family consists of he, his wife (my daughter) and a three year old Heck on wheels.

Talk to me.
IMG_2280.jpegBacon smash burgers last night. Mine is the 28 XL. I didn’t want the 36. The 28 xl is plenty big, family of 3 here as well.

When I upgrade from the char-cheapo it'll be to a slate or a flat rock. I think those are 30 and 32", respectively. That will be more room than I need. If we entertain at the lake it's big, so even the 36" wouldn't be enough.

If you can find it, Try J.O. #1 seasoning instead of old bay. Much less salt. Coming from a Maryland guy, I never use old bay. J.O. #2 on crabs, #1 on everything else.
They make old bay reduced sodium. I used to use it. My doctor said my sodium is low so now I use more salt.

I didn’t really mean that based on intake. I like salt, J.O. Is way better than old bay. Old bay has the name recognition, J.O. Is what’s used in every real crab house.
