Best budget Tachometer

Wow, $96 for a stinkin' tach? They are all .5 second refresh nowadays, what does that tach do that the cheap ones won't, to justify its' more than twice cost?

Hi everyone, I got a TTO tachometer and am unsure what ppr setting
to use, pulses per revolution, on my single cyl two stroke saws.
I can chose from: .5 - 1.0 - 2 or 4 ppr.
Im guessing the saws fire / pulse once per revolution /1.0 ppr

Can anyone conirm this TTO meter will work at 1.0 ppr on a chainsw.

Pretty happy with my Oppama tach. Hoping it lasts longer than the tiny tach/fast tach I had before which failed.

Your tach should be a good one, made by the company
that makes them for echo Husky and Stihl, without
paying for the branding.
I only need a cheap one to initially confirm my tuning
on the limited coil saws, I will tune them by ear first,
then check with the tack.

The TTO on my MS261 is set at 1 PPR. May depend on the motor, but its quick and easy to change that setting regardless.

Been using my Tach, and found 1 ppr is the correct setting for
this little TTO.

I have had 3 eBay tach/ hourmeters on 2 splitters and a generator. The last one I got was around $10 and it us right on with my tiny tach.
