42” ain’t too big for the saw, but it’s too big for my scrawny arms. Need to put it in the Haas and put it on a diet. View attachment 278127

Most of you guys would get some entertainment watching me run a 60” or longer bar being around 130lbs it’s a sight to see.

I know of a guy who does all my saw work, not a large person by any means...grew up on the Washington peninsula falling big timber with a 50” and a 084 all day in the 80’s at one point. Some people size don’t matter.

If you think size doesn’t matter, get out of the pool and whip your dick out in front of a group of girls. You maaaaaaaaayy change your mind ;)

I bet the guy doesn't even play ball. Keeps his glove on the shelf with all the others. Buys all his team mates beers and chew. And brags about how fast he can throw. Likes being part of the team.

This is true. My uncle Dave won the first sanctioned MMA tournament in US history, no weight classes..no time limits and barely any rules, he fought 6 times that night.20210118_093547.jpg

He got recognized in 2011 when the UFC was here for congo vs barry. We got to eat dinner with Dana White. It was pretty cool.

How do you like that cannon on the 026? It's a 24" .325?
I like it a lot! Well built, decent weight to it. It's been wearing really well for the amount of use it's seen. It's 3/8 low profile/picco. I was concerned with weight and whether or not (although it's ported) it would have enough power to pull full 3/8 or .325 pitch on a 24" bar so I bought this setup. I recently ported another one for someone else and they run a 24" regular 3/8 pitch bar and chain and it pulls it no problem. I still prefer the lowpro setup myself. My opinion is aside from a little less durability from having a smaller tooth, the 3/8 LP/PICCO setup cuts through anything like butter. The narrow kerf is smooth as can be. It mostly gets used for limbing, but nice when you need to stop & buck a log quick like along the way.

Those contests back in the day were pretty wild. My dad took me and my brothers to see one in the early 80's - dudes were getting teeth knocked out, ears chewed on, eye sockets broken, etc.

I guess "professional wrestling" matches in the 40s, 50's and 60's got pretty rough too.

There is a documentary on showtime called "tough guys" my uncle is in. It's pretty cool.

I use a 28 or 36 bar for my 066/660 depending on the tree. I use this saw the most out of all the saws I use.

My next smaller saw is a modded MS260 which I always use a 24 inch bar with 3/8 chain. Plenty of times the bar is buried.

Then I have two stock 026’s that uses 18 inch .325.
