Don't wanna get Kevins head swelled up but I hung a 32 on his 562 to get one down the other day! And size matters!
My setup:
TM 066 - 24" 90% / 32" or 36" as needed
Ms461 - 20" 90% / 24" or 28" as needed
Ms460 - 20" 90% / 24" or 28" as needed
Ms360s - 18"
Dolmar 6100 - 20"
Ms261 - 18" .325
026s - 16" .325
I like a big powerhead and a shorter bar but I only cut firewood and some tree jobs - a mix of Cannons, Tsumuras, and Sugiharas. Have a few ES bars for backup.
Looks like a 562 or is it the 572?
Bestest answer my friend! Ha ha!
Neighbor dips his in a bucket of oil each cut.
What air filter you going to run? Id like to see pics of it when done.I'm currently building up a 59 cc saws that barely carries the 28" factory installed on there but should oil it fine. The saws is being purpose built to buck 24-5" firewood only. Ragged edge kinda thing as a single task light weight screamer. Not sure how the chain sequence will shake out but it will.
That's a low mileage unit. Iirc 60,000 ish.
If that car has a Quad 4 they are actually pretty quick.
Was there actually a time where folks would cruise around the countryside with luggage strapped on to that bootlid (you'd call it a trunklid) Wayne?View attachment 270410
32" 2159 FTW!!!
You wouldn’t like me then I do plenty of cutting with a 20-24” on my 066I think for me once you get so many saws you can start setting up certain ones for different duty.
I've run a couple 362s new at parks teaching chainsaw safety and "stock" I wouldn't exceed 24" without going to full skip.
Empirical analysis is the way I approach what works best for the saw. I have a Pro Mac 60 I've tried 4 different combinations of bars and sprockets on ,for bucking larger stuff a 7 pin with a 24" full skip is great , but limbing up a tree the 8 pin and a 20" bar is outstanding.
Sometimes you just have to try it out .
One pet peev I have is seeing a 90cc + saw with a 20" bar though, I just think thats ridiculous unless it's a race saw.
