This is an unusual request, but could someone with a Tsumura and a Sugihara bar take a picture of the part of the bar that is roughly 5 inches from the tip, sans chain? My 3-rivet Oregon bar bit the dust and 5 inches down from a new Oregon bar's tip puts me smack in the middle of the tip rivet, which is not a good point to drill a hole for one of my mill's mounting bolts. Finding a new 3-rivet tip will be pretty hard and the bar itself is pretty beat, so I'd rather just get a new, fresh bar that doesn't utilize obsolete parts so I'll never have to worry again.

How long of a bar and what mount are you needing? I have a stack of used bars in several lengths here.
I'm running a 36 inch D009 attached to my 2100 on my mill currently. The big problem is the mounting hardware location. I don't want to give up my auxiliary handle, but keeping it means I can't utilize any of my modern Oregon bars on my mill, hence my dilemma. I've got 4 3/8 x 36 inch bars, but since they are the new Oregon's I can't use them on my mill.

Gotcha - I'll measure the Sugi and Windsor bars I have here - The Windor may not be a good choice for the same issue that you have with the Oregon single-rivet tip.

Probable not the ones you need, I think they may go on them bars with a curved nose.

Yes, they are banana nose tips, and yes they wouldn't work too well on a 36 inch milling bar. Also they have little flats, mine does not.

My sugi 32" has an aluminium plug that can be pushed out a smidgen over 5 in from the tip of the bar not allowing for the chain .

It looks like you have two holes 7/8" apart. Can you move the mill arm out a bit more and shoot both holes through the Oregon bar tip between the rivet and the sprocket? There is plenty of room to fit the two holes there.

Yes. Yes I believe I can, but that would make me feel really stupid for overlooking such a simple solution so I have to find a different way of solving it.
