I just wish the Mobil had dye in it. I add some red to it just to make sure I don’t double the dose and go 16:1. My echo trimmer don’t like it that rich.

Aspen wise
There was a really weird case.In Germany the new Ms500i was loosing power and the dealerships couldn't understand the problem of that saw so they send it at Stihl central factory.
What they found was the use of Aspen did increased temperature to really high levels and compared with Motomix was nothing to write home about.
Synthetic fuels cause that's what they really are can cause weird symptoms from time to time.
I will not be changing my gas pump mix anytime soon...except VP methanol and stuff for those late hours stories!

Those which i have bought has red dye in it, so it keeps things simple for me, if gas is red, it is 30/1.
I use local equivalent unmixed alkylate fuel, mainly because it's sold from pump at local gas station and price is lower than aspen.

Same here, my Mobil 2T was red. Just used the last of it last week.

I read that Stihl MotoMix is 99% alkylate, but their website says nothing about it. Could be misinformation.

Julius Hoesch in Germany makes this alkylate.
When i was 23, working for a Belgium company i made for several years the wurth handcleaner. For another customer whe used component C046, the German laboratory technician (Heinz) used this as fuel for his Audi A2 1.4.

Is Apen available in Canada?

Is Mobil 1 2T available in Canada?

Aspen is available in Canada has been for about 5 years. I’ve never tried it, higher priced than any other premix.

Haven’t seen the Mobil 2T, but I don’t hang in bike shops much and online oil sales up here seem non-existent.

Hi, you need to look at the msds thing.. they are not very clear with the ingredients percentages thou as is it Patented Product, and iirc there were two versions at one point in time, either they changed the mix or the was a slightly dif blend for another market

There should be a pds file which determines if the product meets the requirements of the Swedish law SFS 2006:927 (Miljöklas 1,
alkylatbensin) and standard SS 15 54 61:2008. I don't know if there is a international standard for these alky-fuels.....
Attached is pds file of the stuff what i'm using.

I use aspen with extra Mobil 1 Racing added to bring it to 3%. I have heard a lot of stories about the oil in aspen being suspect in many bottom end failures. Now who knows how guys are running there saws but that is what i have heard. I have also talked with a guy who says Aspen refuses to release the certification info on there oil even to a company like Logosol that has an exclusive deal with them.

I actually heard the Stihl motomix was aspen fuel but may have just been a rumor. As far as the one chart listing stihls fuel as 92 octane all the cans I see have 94 on them.

What oil do you recommend? That you could mix with the oil already mixed in

I have and use orange stihl oil.
