Anybody run a 462 head to head with a 7910?

I run them all even though I prefer the huskys for a 70cc saw, but if you tell me that any saw is the only way to go even if it is a husky I'll say your wrong lol. I don't enjoy the feel of a 460/461 in hand, but they are runners and have a great track record, and are great for bucking with a 24-28.

I've run 36" on my ported 460s w/o any problem, cutting big Red Oak, so I presume it will. However, based on the weight of the powerhead, it will likely balance better with bars from 20-28".

I think the 7900’s people are complaining about have a worn out plastic nub in the oiler. Mine seemed ok with a 24”. Not quite as good as a 372 with the later model pump that’s shared with the 390xp.

Glad we settled that, you get all the 365/372, I get all the 460/461.

I don't care for the way a 372 feels in hand, but they run OK so..., I do like how a 461 feels in hand a lot, and they run good also, so winner, winner, in my book.

You can have all them 372's after mufflers crack and fall off. Deal?

I know I could have saved myself some money, if I lived around an area where a lot of you guys live, or gone to a few GTG's, instead of just buying saws mail order, and trying them and finding out I didn't like them, only to sell them and buy another one, to try.

Had I ran a ms461 in person or at a GTG first, that would have ended/saved a lot of buying & selling to figure out what I liked best....

It’s very easy to take apart and mod the 7900 pump for more oil and use sealant on the oiler lines so they don’t leak, which is a minor weakness they have. The 461 I’d just buy a ho oiler and be done with it.

Actually I'm starting to really like the feel of a Husqvarna 162 top handle on my 066 hybrid.

I’m planning on using that lite handle on my 562 to reduce the weight and drill 2000 holes in the chain catch, skid plate, bar and chainbrake for those sundays cutting cookies.
