Anybody else's phone get assaulted by ads??

Disclaimer: Yes i know (kickass) websites like this operate mostly via ad revenue.

Every time i get on here on my phone in the last month or so, i get the same few ads that tell me i won a gift card or redirects me to download some forking karaoke app. these ads dont allow me to back out, i have to close the tab and reopen. every time i try to send a pm i can get about 3 or 4 lines in and it opens the ad and deletes the message ive been typing, even if it says "draft saved"....This was not an issue before the last month or month and a half maybe. does not happen on my laptop, which im rarely on, cuz my kid or my wife is on it usually. i browse lots of sites pretty frequently on my phone and this is the only one where i get any sort of pop-up ads like this. makes me want to start randomly mailing mini-macs to people......anybody else?
FOR THE RECORD: not complaining about the revenue sourcing to operate this fine site, just the unscrupulous nature of the advertising biz. Rant over.

As i said, i know ads are necessary, i just dont like the invasiveness.

Most ads like that, that automatically redirect you, and won't let you back out are viruses from what I've heard

There are more ads here than used to be not *b-wording either but they do get in the way on my phone. It's not the ads that bug me it's where they pop up like for example in the box I'm typing in is the one that gets irritating

I use a PC for viewing this, I do not mind the static ads that are on here, the pile of flashing flipping ones on AS is the sole reason I never joined over there.

haha yeah those are pretty bad, its weird though they would be there sometimes, and other times not. for me at least.

yes, this exactly. and the fact that it keeps redirecting me to the apple app store most of the time, and it doesnt happen anywhere else tells me its not a virus.

If you use Firefox just download an adblocker. I see more ads on Tapatalk than I do with Firefox.

You can download some free antivirus APPs. Check out AVAST. They are great.
You can download any web browser you choose to on your phone. I have google chrome, but choose to use Mozilla Firefox. I use the pop up blocker and adblocker. I don't get any pop ups or ads.
Maybe give it a try and see if you like it. If you don't like it, just delete it.

i just use chrome to browse on my phone. i think tapatalk may make me something something even more.
