Has anybody tried dying dirty white stihl plastic ? I have an old 025 that has lots of stains and discoloration. I'm wondering if the black will cover that or if it will show through.

It will cover but will be dull like a flat black.

I can't see it being any worse than a black top handle.

Just to let everyone know. The plastic parts that come with a max flo filter kit won't take the dye. I had all these parts in the dye for almost 2 hours. The saw plastics came out great. The max flo plastic looks just like it did when I put it in. Not even a slight colour change. image.jpeg

Good to know! The Stihl scabbard that I tried to dye didn't take the dye either.

I've noticed that with certain plastics they won't take. I've also found that the snaps that hold the top covers down on husqvarnas will not take dye at all, no matter how long I leave them in. Guess I need to research what all kinds of plastics there are.
