Did You find any markings on the harvested cells?
If they are brand cells they should be marked and You can find specs online.
I stand corrected, they are 2.5ah cells....that said, the cells they replaced appear to be completely nameless, and as close as i can tell were 1.76ah cells, in a 5ah pack? Something fishy there.... supposedly genuine milwaukee battery with correct registerable serial number... would think they would have branded cells...

Replacement cells are EVE Branded, for what it is worth, and seem to last significantly longer than the original cells ever did... green cell is the replacement cell, red cell is the original

Red cell, LGABHE21865:
- LG , 2500mAh , 20A discharge draw

Green cell, INR18650/25P:
- EVE , 2500mAh , 20A discharge draw

Technically the cells have identical specs, the red cells may just show deterioration.

Also, the green cell is INR (Nickel).
I couldn't find info on the red LG cell, but it may feature a different compound.

Thanks for the info! I can say with authority that these EVE cells have more oomph than the red LG cells, like i said earlier, the brushed angle grinder can make short order of a battery, as a lawnmower mechanic, the original 5a packs would sharpen approx 4-5 blades with a 36grit flap wheel before starting low voltage cutout, the green cells can get a good 7-9 blades before showing similar voltage sag...

I believe You if You say so!

I have several brand 18650 cells that I harvested.
They do behave different even though they are close in capacity , 2000mAh & 2200mAh.

I have Sony, Samsung, Sanyo & another brand that I can't name on top of my head.

Also, i did a bit of googling last night @Wilhelm and it appears that the LG cell is also an INR composition

I’ve heard good things about the adapters. I use 18 to 20v dewalt adapters regularly. Never used batteries from a different tool though. I thought for sure they’d work though
The adapters might work on the 20 volt Porter Cable tools but they do not fit the 18 volt ones. I need to just toss them and the tools.

I’ve always had good luck with my dewalt tools and batteries, I’m assuming my flex volt 20/60 set up must be 3 20 volt sets in the pack and that’s why they can run the 60 volt grinder I have plus last for a long time on my 20 volt stuff.
