My insomnia got the best of me last night. I shouldn't have left that neotec 395 with 36" bar in my amazon cart. I hit place order sometime after midnight. I don't think clearly in the middle of the night. I really don't need that saw . Need to put my phone far away from the bed.
Trust me, once you have it, you will find a use for it 🤣 i had no use for an MS661 til a broken one fell into my lap for free.... rebuilt it and i love using it for anything....a 90cc class saw is a fun saw to run....

Here's a good deal Screenshot_2024-05-05-08-13-53-775.jpg
This chain looks identical to the upstart chain I've run for over 10 year's
But they never sold over 72dl 3/8 .50 lengths for some reason.

if you select 5 peice it's $45 and some change with free shipping but I forgot to include tax so it's closer to $50 total
I am the factory authorized service center in the US for V-Modest. I can tell you I e been testing some for several months and so far so good. At first I think they stretch a little much but once they settle in they’re ok.
They had a problem in labeling some of the 3/8LP which unfortunately carried all the way through marketing. It’s possible that some of are still in the pipeline so those 5 chains may end up being LP instead of full size 3/8. Most of the goofs have been with 72 link chains so the 84s stand a good chance of being correct. But don’t worry, V-Modest has been fantastic at making things right.

Looks like there’s a mix up on these too.

Almost all of the eBay chain has been labeled lp
From Archer,longer,sunjoe,8ten,hipa, holzfforma or unbranded
I refuse to believe there's more than a couple of factory's making all these chains
Some are blued different but all share the same components
With the only difference being the dots or
Cut's on the drive links for lubrication.
I have hundreds of chains and i bought 93 of the hipa clearance chains last year.
I've had no issues with any of it.
I've sold hundreds of chains to customers when i repair a saw or a local firewood seller has been buying upstart 72dls from me for over 10 year's
He's bought several hundred from me and several logger's also swear by them

Locally chain prices are retarded.

I really like my Holzfforma chain. I've had a 20" loop on my firewood processor for over a year. We've done 60 cords with it and I haven't sharpened it yet. Not once.

Why can't they get this simple ad fixed?
I worked in commercial freight and retail for 30 year's
Changing or updating ads is cake.

Edit.
Later in this thread page 9.
i bought four of the chinese 365 saws from china and converted them to 372s.

Here's one of those ebay saws 79.08 shipped they have many names and plastics but identical chassis much lighter than expected ill have to weigh it.
Has a sucky start assist that's the only thing i don't like started third pull 32-1 red armor for the first tank cuts very much like a stihl 028 290 just lighter and more vibes adjustable oiler works good rim sprocket really like the chisel chain ran a tank empty on oak never stretched or dulled Kingpark canada brand hopefully gonna run the pee out of it Saturday firewood for three family's.View attachment 53201 View attachment 53202 View attachment 53203 Is the clutch cover warped, the brake band is running at a different angle than the clutch drum, something is badly off.

Holzfforma sent me a replacement g288 cylinder, it looks much better than the original.
Hoping the exhaust timing is lower on this one.

What are you running LP on in 24”?
Haha nothing. My wife's ms170 is the only one I have lp on. I was referring to the Amazon ad. I've seen them advertise 3/8 lp full size 3/8 before.
Not a fan of 3/8 lp. Only chains I've broken are Stihl picco. It's too fragile for limbing dry wood IMO.
