filling the original transfers will decrease case volume. I think this would be good. windows need to line up. thinking it would be good for a race saw.

Glad you caught this thread my friend. The saw I just posted is the same saw, but with a new top end. I still have the old chopped up one, even started gathering parts to build a 461 just to play with it. If you're game, I could really use your brain. I'll call you when I get further along.

I think you should fill the originals and bridges in. Get the RA in the transfers even them up. Take 25 thou from the squishband and bring the intake upto 78-80.
Of course might as well it see what it's like

Old-Cat on AS. He sent the piston and cylinder out for machining and then did the port work.

I don't think it is. Especially if you choose to use short transfer tunnels. You will need more bd. I didn't see much widening of the port so the the opening point vs port time area comes to mind.
