I'm guessing this tank vent isn't supposed to be a hollow tube? Would you guys recommend OEM? Aftermarket? Some type of upgrade/retrofit?IMG_20240408_172848991.jpg

it is a 2pc part. There should be a 1-way valve section. Is this for your 288? I have a couple different ones so will check the pt#s.

Looks like I have part#10...and am missing part#11? Is it just friction fit?

I recently built a 288, and I discovered that the original carb was pulling air through the throttle shaft when it wouldn't idle down. I purchased a new OEM carb expecting a Tillotson, but when it arrived, to my surprise it was a Walbro (Made in Japan). Looks very similar to the Tillotson.

Have any of y'all ran one of these? I'm just curious if the performance is the same as the Tillotson, or better, or worse? Thanks!

What kind of numbers would be good for a 288 that may see occasional milling? Was thinking 80* 100* 120* and .025" squish. Maybe a couple degrees less all the way around would be better for durability??

They like to be a little shorter on the intake than exhaust. More like 100 ex, 119 trans, 79 intake, squish at 0.020".
