I would always check squish, some of these cylinders vary a little.
Mine was dang near a headbanger with no gasket. 12 or 14 thou iirc. Used the thinnest gasket paper I had with the thinnest layer of motoseal I could get on each side. Ended up at .023 installed & called her good.
Decomp is a must. Feels like it’s for the recoil starter’s benefit, but my shoulder wouldn’t take too many tries.

How is this holding up so far?This is the stuff I used. Should be fairly tough considering it's implement paint. 2 different looking cans but it's the same color, one can is just newer than the other.

Not terrible but it chips fairly easy, as expected. Powder coat is the way to go.How is this holding up so far?
