It should really look nice on it, it's in the condition I was looking for,and i was told a while back that my 281 was issued with the metal flag. Keep it looking original.

If I forget to push the decomp on mine after it pops, it'll do it just about every time lol

If I don’t pay attention mine will stretch your fingers after the first pop and it’s only pulling 185psi without a base gasket. Must be some nice old school advance in them coils lol

Ask @Daserlon too! Rattler cut the band and base for me on his 288 cylinder before I ported it. Ran friggen awesome

High top or low top??? If it’s low top you can still get an OEM replacement to finish off the looks. That said, even with the crack, a low hour 288 would be worth between $550 and $650 too me. But please get another opinion, I’m no expert.

Top cover looks like this if memory serves me right... I dont think it's a lite. Its low top with a blue xp.
