Yep them will work
View attachment 295272 Will these work? I cannot find the cross reference for these. I thought I ordered 6203/c3 but instead got 6203 195r
+1 on This advice. C3 is what designates the bearing as deep groove which is a design feature for high rpm applications.I would not use anything else but C3.
Hope she’s all sorted out. Very strong running 288 you have thereMy 288 is at Uncle Mike's getting fresh bearings, gaskets and seals. May get it back tomorrow afternoon . If so gonna bust up a walnut with it Sunday morning. Cant wait to make some noise.
Even stronger since everyone was adjusting on it . Glad i picked it up. Was asking too much of the 562xp for way too long.Hope she’s all sorted out. Very strong running 288 you have there
Trying to keep up with all your saws. Had a blast running all the different saws last weekend.Hope she’s all sorted out. Very strong running 288 you have there

This explains why the deeper groove matters.

The wider clearance is a product of the deeper groove. Run what you will, I prefer to stick with what OEM runs.SKF explorer refers to deep groove ball bearing.C3 has nothing to do with deep groove,it is a higher than normal clearence bearing to accommodate the instant heat expansion on some applications.SKF explorer 6203 has a limited speed of 24.000 rpm so i think it will be more than ok.I've read somewhere that most today bearings that are not specify a C rating on them, they are usually C3 clearence bearings since C4 or C5 and even C2 are special clearence bearings.C3 are common and not need to be specified.
It was a great weekend, can’t wait for next year.Trying to keep up with all your saws. Had a blast running all the different saws last weekend.

Aaaaannnddddd...Some Noise?! Ain't that a triple port lack-of-muff i see?
Iirc i read it on some SKF document.I'll try to find it and post it up here.As for explorer bearing, you can type SKF explorer 6202 and the firts result is a pdf from SKF which has all the info about that particular bearing.I remembered a little wrong, sorry.SKF as you will read on the document categorising the clearences as Normal,C2 is lower than normal,C3 is higher than normal etc. When a bearing not mentioning C grade,it is considering as Normal clearence. The wider clearance is a product of the deeper groove. Run what you will, I prefer to stick with what OEM runs.
Would be sweet if we could source some info that lists what bearings meet C3 clearance specs. Any idea where you read that info?
It's ok to have a "low top" inferiority complex.I must be in the minority, I don't like high tops on anything 288, 372, 572 ect. In my opinion the low tops look way better and make a saw feel smaller and more nimble.
