Is the air filter all wire mesh?

To be honest, I'm not really sure what it is. Almost looks plastic, Very thin and when you
shine a flashlight on it it shines. I'm not thinking wire, if it is it is a wire i haven't seen.

That filter came on a hybrid I got, as I recall it's the new winter filter. All I know is even with a sharp chain when I was cutting sorta dry pine it didn't filter out jack squat so I took it off the saw and sold it.

Yeah would definitely require a pre filter.

No joke at the beginning of this winter I asked a guy at a gas station to put out his cigarette while fueling, he told me that mythbusters proved you couldnt ignite fumes from a cig. I told him I didn't want to be present when he proved them wrong .
