Question.....on topic. What was your method of testing, and cleaning?

It was kind of a Hail Mary

Pressure test was through the fuel line. Couldn’t build anything.

So I removed the carb and pulled it apart to find the screen clogged.

I was looking for a pic. I think I have something in the 572 update thread that shows it.

cleaned the screen, cleaned the carb just with a carb spray, lapped the the metering valve seat with a Q Tip and tooth paste and rebuilt it with the kit that was in there.

@tree monkey and several other known builders have put us on to this tip in the past. It is a good diagnostic tip and I now use often. Thanks for taking the time to refresh the tip sir!!

So......back to basics. That is a great lesson for all of us. Far too often the autotune "computer" is blamed for the issue instead of us just taking the time to do exactly what we would have done if we were dealing with a old school saw.
Look at my stupid 572...fuggin flywheel wasn't where it belonged.

It was making good spark here - was it just cutting out intermittently?
It would start and idle fine, just wouldn’t rev up. I bought a new coil for it and had it matched to the carb. Once the flywheel and crank were cleaned up it ran fine

I did a quick inspection of the wiring.
Will have to do a more thorough inspection of wiring and attempted to clean the carb.
These air boxes are really crowded.

It took 10 to get familiar with the other 5 series. Now they change it again

I bought a 1974 Mercury comet for 400.00$ 20 years ago, i drove that thing all over creation, straight 250 six ,four door , green with jaundice interior.
The only performance upgrade i did was a front disc brake conversion.
I had to keep a case of oil in the trunk to refil with every tank of fuel.
I bought a cheap 74 Power Wagon as my backup vehicle at the time. I drove it for a year and lost reverse, drove it for another year without backing up.

You described my first car to a tee. Had three on the floor.

Ed Zachery, if the saw won't tune itself properly, then blame the auto tune.

I pulled the carb and opened it up. I couldn’t find any dirt or any issues.
Couldn’t find any wiring issues.

If left set overnight, saw will start fine and make 4 or 5 cuts then it starts cutting out and will not make enough power to cut wood. Idles fine.
If left set for half an hr it still acts up.

Yes I have when the problem started.
Now it won’t run well enough to do so.
Have let it idle for several minutes though.
