So, the theory that AT is doing this is likely correct. The AT module does keep tract of run time in hours, minutes and seconds. Also, I lent out a 565 demo to a logger to run 10 thanks through it, and the total run time when he brought it back was around 4 hours. Kind of all adds up, doesn't it? :)

Lost my quote above.:ghost:

Bob, your logger must be steady bucking big hardwood at the landing. That's alot of fuel for 4 hours of run time.
Say is Husqvarna going to give out some nice ball caps like this one I got when I bought my 562XP seven years ago.?

They have a lot of hats in the mix Willard. But I haven't seen anything specific to the 572 yet.

I had asked the logger to run a bunch of fuel through the saw to break it in, so I think he concentrated doing just that. probably spent some time on the firewood pile as well. Made my life easier, cause 10 tanks is a lot of cutting for me. Would take me a good while to get there unless I do a lot of senseless cookie cutting which I hate. :)

Do it Randy!

I for one feel your build threads are very education, informative and at the very least entertaining!

I know it is a pain for you but I will publicly state I enjoy them!!

I'm experiencing chainsaw/forum burnout on a massive scale.

I seriously doubt I'll ever do another build thread.

Time is too valuable to spend hours and hours doing a thread just to end up defending your ideas and methods to the masses.

It's not worth the effort.

@Spike60 send one to me, we’ll put it in a commercial setting, up against 372’s 576’s and 390’s. Want to run one out of my bucket truck to see if it’s a better fit with a 32” bar than the 390 lol... a t525 could also be field test lol...

Make a thread then lock it. Then only approve smart questions.

We think of break in period in tanks run through the saw cause they are easiest to count. Husky measures it by run time in hours, which they list as 3-4. This goes way back to the 200 series saws for which they always recommended running them at break in RPM's, typically 600-700 less during the break in period. They suggested this for both new saws and rebuilt saws. Some food for thought there for guys who do builds/projects on these older saws and then go right to the max RPM's on the first tank. ;)

So, the theory that AT is doing this is likely correct. The AT module does keep tract of run time in hours, minutes and seconds. So, is the price spread between the 565 and 572 enough for consideration? Or is the 565 demo to prove that the little extra money for the 572 is well worth it?

Last I recall, Bob was saying the spread was only about $50. Seems like most guys will step up to the xp models for that difference.

Anyone in Canada get one locally yet? I subbed to Husqvarna’s sites notification thing. Guess we’ll see if I get an email.’

I can’t wait to toss that shiny new saw behind the seat in the old 404 and go pull a couple loads up, then use it to process it all. that rough enough for ya? Ha ha.

It might be time for a break? I gave up wrenching on saws for a year after a serious burnout.

The year off was very refreshing and when I got back in it, I had a better perspective.

Maybe you could take a month or two off? (or three).

Sounds familiar.

After holding booth the 572 and 565 today, I wish I could order a 572 xpg with the filter and top cover setup from the 565, I lreally liked the lower profile of the 565 myself but I like my rev boost too.

I'm sure you could sell the 572 parts pretty easily.
