I can’t see any needles missing from the big end bearing. But I can’t rotate it, It’s really stuck.

If indeed there is damage(not saying there is or isn't) beyond repair, one solution is an affordable complete crankcase from Husqvarna.
While they cost more than they used to, everything being equal still makes this a good way to go.

Thanks. That’s what I was thinking. Got a short block last time I rebuilt a 562. It was only £20 dearer than a crankshaft. It makes sense just to buy it complete.

I think that ones toast. It’s discoloured from the heat and it’s stuck well. It may free off but I think it’s best to be replaced.

IDK what's going on, but that is too dry. I've never seen a piston top top look like that except maybe in a test of Lucas two stroke oil. I'd venture to say if it was a warranty claim it would be denied...(no effin oil in mix) I'm all about Canned fuel and its attributes. That can had something left out...

Are ya sure this hasn’t been hitting the squish band?

View attachment 333164

I had wondered that as well, but went back over my notes and the squish was 0.53mm after machining. I always check 4 points.

Could the change to aspen have caused it to run hotter and thermal expansion has made it hit the band? My thought was the guys been running it hard on two stroke, ran it dry (which he said he did), switched fuel and kept running it hard. Not letting the auto tune adjust and that’s been the problem. I read about detonation occurring after switching fuel. But again you would think there would be more damage to the piston.

Hello, you Can use Aspen to make a fire, but put it in a chainsaw, no way. I refuse to pay money for That *s-word.

Yeah I wouldn’t use it either.

Hello, I have been using this at 32/1 for many years. Works Good.View attachment 333128

Very good oil, @32 ratio in all ported saws, @40 in all stock garden equipment, no carbon or mechanical problems.

When switching from previous mineral oils, I would see heavy smoking for about a tank before all settled in.
