Oh, I'm with you on the all orange Don. Paint that stays on the saw is always better.
Odd thing about this topic though is both the 560 and 562 are available in the UK. Will that happen here? Initially there was quite a debate about which one to bring into the US, and they were considering doing both at one point. There would have to be a business argument that the 560 would actually sell here, and I don't know that there is one outside of the hobby world. And it would need to be in the context that the 560 would generate additional sales, not just rob some sales from the 562. Seems as though the 560 is more suited to markets where 60cc is considered a big saw. The 562 is better suited to markets where 60cc is a mid range saw. Truth is a half pound isn't going to carry enough weight, (get it?

), to justify another model.
In both cases though it is important from a marketing perspective that the saw shares a bar mount with other saws that 560/562 buyers are likely to own. Small mount in 560 markets and large mount in 562 markets makes sense. The ability to share bars with 372/576 size saws is a good idea for the 562 as most 562 pro buyers would not want a saw that requires different bars. Again, that same logic applies to 560 markets where the K095 mount is more common.
The other factor they see are the limited sales of the 555 and the Jonsered models. There is nothing there that demonstrates a significant desire on anyones part for a slightly lighter small mount version of the 562. Shame really as the 555 is one of the best kept secrets in the saw world. It really should sell way better than it does. I recall one person who has posted in this thread as touting the 555 as the BEST firewood saw there is on the market! Been a while since he has pulled his out of the retirement closet though. LOL
