I have never done much with a 346 other than a mm and base delete so I can't really think what a ported 346 is like.. sad times

Ran my 550 with my Tree Monkey 346 tother day, 550 lost.

Time to send the 550 to Scott...

Holy mother! These things scream! And the compression release pops after every pull!

Pulls an 18" bar nicely through around 10" of pollarded hornbeam at a hilariously fast chain speed. Sadly only managed to make around 8 cuts before the damn daylight faded again.

I love its damn quick return to idle after a cut too.

I thought these coils were limited but what the.....

How did you like them side by side? I have acquired a brand new straight gassed 346ne due to some Husqvarna 50cc 3xx addiction issues as of late..

No bothered either way with auto tune or not. More thinking torque to save pulling out a heavier saw, balance, fuel etc.

All I can say at the moment is the 346 looks visually better from all angles. Not that that is really an issue..

If ported properly they both pull really well

Good enough for me! I have a 42mm OE at the moment and this cobbled back together 550xp that is better than I expected, but the squish is improved on the 550 and it has a nice muffler mod..
