I recently bought a new Ryobi Expand-it power head. The old one came down with problems after 3 years of hard usage. I'm happy with this light duty yard tool and its performance under severe usage. I have the brush cutter, string cutter, tiller and edger attachments. It has been a work horse considering what it is.

I'll be back in another thread about getting the old power head up and running again. I'm guessing that carburation is its problem. In the mean time, I'm curious about engine oil for the 30cc 4-cycle engine on this power head.

The manual calls for an API SJ 10W30 to 20W50 lubricant to be used in the engine.
I keep Delo 400 for my vehicles, and am intending to use it in the power head. It looks to meet the requirements called for except for a newer SN [and the CJ/CI diesel service categories] that replaces the older SJ category.

Any reasons not to use Delo in this 30cc engine?

Thanks guys.
I buy Delo 15W40 by the case of gallons.
I figured it wouldn't be a problem.
Just wasn't sure the baby sized engine wouldn't react badly.
Delo in everything then!
It has been my oil of choice ever since my first car, a '46 Chevy vacuum shift.
