Pardon my greasy fingers, but has anyone else had trouble with the circlips with OEM 395 pistons? I received a new piston today and found that the clip was next thing to loose after being installed into the piston, easily spun with a fingernail. I ended up using the clips from the old piston, which fit properly and are obviously larger.

Looks like they included the wrong size in the kit.
Wolf Creek has the Stihl type.

I wasn't very clear, but we are a Husqvarna parts/service dealer, so this was an OEM husqvarna piston.
I got that. Somebody, somewhere, likely at the factory… screwed up. It happens.

Wire thickness looks slightly thinner OD and the loop opposite the ear seems quite shorter.

Considering my limited experience with changes in OEM Dolmar parts over the past 2 decades or so I would guess they changed the clips supplier without double & triple checking fitment.
Makita did this with numerous Dolmar parts.

Good thing You noticed that!
Report it to Husqvarna?
