The used oem 394 cylinder on ebay is the best way to go. Much better than throwing an AM top end on one

no but i refuse to do business with them after i had a problem with a piston a few years ago sent pictures of their box and had bought from them a few times and they said i had never bought from them

That's probably a good idea, but I was only using their add as a possibility and told you about it to explain where I read the instructions at...

the video i posted does good on telling you how to do it plus the conversion kit has a set of instructions with it

Yes I agree and that's what I asked you and what got all this confusion started, I asked if you use the OEM P and C that you linked to would you still need the kit that I linked to,since you didn't mention it. I was only asking because I didn't know due to the fact that there are some p and C kits that included the swap pieces.

So did you feel like I was bashing someone? I truly hope not,was never my intention and I am not qualified to question what Dall says on this subject! I was in total agreement with him , but somehow he missunderstood something I said and took offense, I felt like. The sad part is that I was here to learn and help if I could,even if that only means looking for parts on eBay .
If you go back and read the post in order it's fairly self-explanatory where it went astray... let me know if I am at fault in any way shape or form. I am not too big to apologize if I need to..

I have enough experience here to know when a project is gonna get in deeper than someone expects. Are 394's worth building... absolutely. But ya gotta be super careful otherwise the $$ gets out of hand.... just the way my experience goes. This saw is worthy of a proper build... imho. How one goes about that is up to them.
