dont have one yet still searching for one here.Let's see your 281 or 288,must be a runner.
the wa wa wa sound it makes in the cut means uneven chain stretch and aggresive chain or the wood is harder than my head.
Which saw was that? It's strong for sure! That's the hardest wood I've ever cut.
How do u like the 661 so far? Any plans to go back in with more ideas?661. Thanks
I think it's a pretty good running saw as it is,probably tear down again and check piston wash to see how the transfers are doing. How do u like the 661 so far? Any plans to go back in with more ideas?
Wash pics... lolI think it's a pretty good running saw as it is,probably tear down again and check piston wash to see how the transfers are doing.
meh give me a 281 or 288 LOL.
Gonna make sure the rings are seated good before I tear it down. Hoping compression is 180,that's what it was shooting for anyway.Wash pics... lol
Sent from my non internal combustion device.
I've owned and ported many 281 and 288s there not in the same league as these bigger saws,I do however prefer the 281 once ported over the 288.You'll need one to out run my 044 in "unported" form, even with my "slow" winged piston!
I feel the same way when I hear them discussing the model year changes in 262s. But I know they are good saws, so good for those who have the knowledge to keep track of it all.
Once cool I bet around180Gonna make sure the rings are seated good before I tear it down. Hoping compression is 180,that's what it was shooting for anyway.
Checked it hot yesterday and it was 165
What made the 281 better than the 288? It's essentially the same saw with a smaller piston?I've owned and ported many 281 and 288s there not in the same league as these bigger saws,I do however prefer the 281 once ported over the 288.
To each there own but I'll take the stronger newer saw that parts are available for unless you don't use it,then it doesn't matter.
meh give me a 281 or 288 LOL.
