It’s funny the most “despised” (at least on here) cylinders on the 372’s are the ones I like the most (xtorq and xpw). You can just give them that extra “push”... good torque. The 48/50mm feel more lively and rpm based to me. The next 372 I get however, I wanna try a 50mm with the weisco piston.
I didn’t despise my XT top end, I had it running pretty good. Ran neck and neck with my bros ported XPW, that said I liked the feel of the 75cc just a little more than the XT.

I cant say much on the conversion, Josh did his and I did follow along a but but I couldn't remember the details well enough to post with confidence.

That said, I never had a single complaint with my XPW I have that I bought new, stock or since I've ported it.

Didn’t both of you port them differently from each other? I think I remember reading the threads.

Yep we both ported our 372’s at the same time and they were the first saws either one of us had ported. Joe followed Randy’s guidance from an XPW thread and I had Ed Herd guiding me over on Forestry Forum which was pretty cool. Learned a lot from him.

The flippy caps are a nice upgrade. I also like the newer elastic-start style pull handle Husky has on their t435xp. But that handle is more authentic / “period correct”.

Are you changing the brake flag too, to match the lower top cover?

Eventually I will. Just got all the parts to replace the parts i removed for now.
