I have looked over the 346 and 357 boots as many others have. 346 is larger on the cylinder side, 357 is larger on carb side. Pics for fun.
346 on L, 357 on R.

So, people use a 372 metal screw clamp on the intake in place of the snap. To me that means the 357 and 372xp have the same diameter intake flange? If so can the 372xp intake be used on a 357? I don't have a 372xp to play with and I'm guessing someone has considered this before.

Negative. 372 impulse line is in the case vs. the intake in the 357/346.

Edit: I suppose it could be accomplished but not sure what you will gain??

Interesting. If everything goes as expected more fuel and air will be needed. I'm trying to figure out how to do it work saw style, rubber and such.

I dug through all of my 346 parts and found one boot that is as large as the 199 and larger than the casting on my 357 cylinder! [emoji106]
