It would be great if you posted a build thread. I personally am struggling to envision porting a cylinder with files for a few reasons.Pictures of previous builds available. I handtool my ports with precision machinist files, no electric tools used unless I need to remove a bunch of material
Well, i had to break out of the mold somehow. It would be great if you posted a build thread. I personally am struggling to envision porting a cylinder with files for a few reasons.
I've got a brand new oem cylinder kit that's been ported for 350. Could use it and compare power between the 2. Or turn around and sell your used one on here. Or you could send me yours cylinder and I can port it for 150 or the entire powerhead I'll port it for 250

Folks as it stands member @Sawponder hasn’t been seen on here in awhile. A couple members sent funds to pay for parts and haven’t heard anything back from this member in weeks. I will be going through his listings and changing them to NLA. I would recommend not sending funds or doing business with him until he decides to explain himself.Well, i had to break out of the mold somehow.
I guess i could show a bit of the process. And the tools necessary. It does take quite a bit longer than using a foredom/dremel.
Picture of a 572xp im doing right now for my buddy Dom from NY. He sent the entire saw in and wants a very warm saw to compare to his other stock 572xp he has at home.
Starting early today to try and finish up several cylinders for the local guys.
I don't charge nearly as much as the other guys do mainly because usually guys send me their cylinders and pistons (easier on them they say) but if someone wants to send the entire powerhead and have me map their ports for a bit of tweaking, i can do that too.
Pricing depends on conplexity of the cylinders, and the saws that really benefit are multi-transfer port saws like 7900, 441, 461, all the autotunes do extremely well also.
Send a cylinder and piston in starting at $150
I don't see any right angle files. How do you port the upper transfers?Well, i had to break out of the mold somehow.

To follow this up. It would appear that @Sawponder has made things right with all the members here he owed parts too. Not sure if they will post again so the right angle files will likely remain a myth-tery.Folks as it stands member @Sawponder hasn’t been seen on here in awhile. Gotcha. That makes gooder sense. TBH I didn’t even see the pics I was just going off what @Nutball said.It was a 572 cylinder shown... it has transfer caps.
