Standard old school two stroke engine. The old 372 top end was known to be faster and a tad stronger.Quick question about these non X-torq 372 motors: does that mean that they are NOT what's considered a strato-engine? The X-torq is I believe strato-carb fresh air injection.. right? Trying to understand the difference

Ya but the OE smells betterI've never ran a 372 OE that had as much torque as an X-torq with long bars.
And I lost count of how many I've ran, even in the red versions.
But..I think the OE is better for longevity and it's more zippy with a 20-24" bar.
Oh cool that'd probably give more potential for portwork and expansion chamber pipe if one was so inclinedStandard old school two stroke engine. The old 372 top end was known to be faster and a tad stronger.
I've heard that the non X-torq saw engines have more potential once ported or piped, makes sense they could to meYa but the OE smells better
