When porting a 372 x torq, do you match the opening of the top two intake ports to the opening of the bottom one? Also has anyone advanced the timing on one?

I went ahead and advanced the timing so I got my answer about that, it woke it right up.

What I did was grind on the roof of the intake port to meet the stratos , gut the intake boot and gutted the filter holder. Tomorrow I will get pics of the boot filter holder and cylinder to show you.

I've already finished that saw but would like to see the pics and hear how it turned out. What I was thinking was to open the strato ports at the same time as the intake.

This is the saw I was working on. I didn't change the strato opening and it turned out good just leaving them with the stock opening.

Thanks, it has a 24" bar in the video. I haven't had the bar buried yet but it shouldn't have a problem with it.

Hey did u guys gut the boot and elbow at the same time? Or separate and see if it one or the other actually helps? Not derogatory, just asking cuz ive heard guys saying gut one but not the other. Dont even remember which one they said. Lol!

You're welcome, I did a short thread over on AS if you want to check it out. https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/woods-ported-372-xtorq.346952/ and the numbers I used are in the video description on YouTube.
Very cool! Ill check that out too. I see 24 pages in the FF thread. I got some reading to do! The research is the funnest part, love learning.
