Why not just hit him over the head and take his wallet? We do that for free if we sold the saw.

A stock used 372/2171 is typically a 450$ saw give or take depending on condition. Imho

If it’s well used like the 2171 in the pictures and never rebuilt or tuned up ever in its life, expect to spend 50-100$ freshening it up (fuel line/filter, impulse line, plug, air filter... is the bottom end tight and topend in good shape?) plus your time if it’s worth anything to you. Ask the question when was the last rebuild? If never then the price goes down.

Last night guy posted an original 372 for around $300. Saw was in rough shape in pictures. This morning I went to look saw was sold

I have paid that or more for all my heated handle saws. I'd snatch that one up no problem.

Talked to the guy selling the 2171 johnsred he had a change of plan, he has to do some tree work and would let me know in a few weeks about selling. I did in my searches find a brand new 2172 for sale 2 hours from me. $1047 plus shipping.

Thats pretty overpriced. That’s a 800$ saw new here in my area . I know because I bought one before a couple years ago. New 572’s are 8-900$ ish here depending on the dealer.

Almost worth it for you guys to just ship a saw from the USA when you want to buy one. Probably a pain though.
