Here’s a picture of the cylinder This is picture from guy I got the saw from. Don’t do busting balls, because I’m the one who accepted the conditions of cylinder. And by the way p/c are in perfect condition 8D7DF196-3BB9-4B00-8149-7B24369285FE.jpeg

They will run just fine. A little hotter id bet but as long as you tune safe you will have a very long service life from that jug.

That's not that bad it'll run good. Single ring 50mm right?

You don’t need to worry about ball bustin. A lot of us have seen worse and still brought the Saw back to life. Did the PO know what happened to the saw? Once you get the case cleaned up make sure you do a very thorough inspection for cracks, especially if the saw was “wheel chocked”. Looking forward to hearing your Saw run.:)

Well I used to get a lot of ball busting on another site that’s why I came over to OPE. He didn’t know exactly. Had this one in a group bought from a Shop O yeah it’ll be torn down split cleaned and new seals possibly bearings and all the good stuff that goes on with an unknown build. It may be a little while before it runs. Gotta make parts list and go from there. But it will happen. My son is already wanting to crack open his piggy bank lol.

If the case is cracked or busted I could always use the 365 case half’s. But I wanna hold on to them for another build if all goes well. Dang I gotta lot of parts to find lol

Should be the better closed port version.
It's my understanding that one that only says "365" on the tag or recoil is the open port version. I thought the older closed port versions were SE or Special and the newer ones were X-Torq? The open port version will have the bolt-on style intake.

Either way, they're all good runners

I love my open port 2065, it is very torquey. A lower revver but a good saw for work :)

1998 I thought they had the closed port? I've even had a few 394 cases that said "394" with no xp or "394xp" on the same year tag. Some late 371 even had two ring piston I've heard?

In thinking of putting this up maybe for trade on parts for 371-372 saws. It’s 30” 3/8x50ga. and an homelite410 bar adapter will be needed for it to work on huskies. I traded for it from another member but can’t recall his name. I don’t think I’ll ever use it and it’s never been on a saw2C42A5B1-6C8C-438A-A920-37433CC72828.jpegE6AF5AC7-B094-40F0-8F2D-9D2E6E2808CD.jpegDCD0DE57-FFC2-4357-9164-2E96BAC891D2.jpeg

I'm not sure on the years, only from what Bob has said earlier in the thread. But of the 365's I've seen, the plain 365 is open. 365 Special is closed
I think I've read here about the 371 having either 1 or 2 rings also.

I've seen a 394 both ways also.

Hey will that bar fit a d009 husky large mount? I have no 365-371-372 parts to trade but would be interested in the bar if it fits a husky large mount provided its not too awfully expensive. Nice build thread by the way thank you for including all of us on the journey

I guess I’m gonna have to use the 365 cases. Look at the picture. The cross bar at the top on recoil side is broken 0250F954-3CCE-4BD0-834B-8BADC037B8DE.jpeg
