Looking for a 365 / 372 crank in good condition. Need to replace a crank with bad connecting rod needle bearing. The Husky part # of the crank is: 5372912-02 and it came out of a 2005 Husky 365 Special. This one the needles seem to be seized to the crank and the connecting rod is all loose around the bearing. The crank has some major bluing probably from being overheated when the bearing failed.

I may have a crank. I'll try to remember in the morning when I'm packing. Stihl bearings last but the cases are junk. Out of the last 12 or so half the cases are junk on the pto bearing pocket.

Thanks guys! This saw is another of my brother's co-workers. Having fun learning how to rebuild these saws and they are getting the benefit of saws rebuilt for just parts cost.
When I was down at Dan's Dan couldn't help himself and just tore that 365 down in minutes. Bummed we had to split the case but man did that needle bearing take it in the shorts. The jug is perfect. Will probably put an OEM or Meteor piston in, seals, lines, gaskets and this saws ready to go. Maybe a new intake boot. No signs of poor mix or lean seize or anything like that... Just this lower end issue and I think the owner was smart and didn't try to run it as soon as the problem happened.

Erik, I have 2 extra cranks here. One is oem, one is AM .. (one would obviously be cheaper than the other lol) I will do the install for you if you wish. Or if you want to wait for the GTG, I'll do it at the GTG as a demo of the crank tools....

:)

I'll take the OEM one -- can you PM a price?
I'd like to install it so I can continue to learn. I installed the crank for the 51 @ Dan's with his assistance.

I'd like to have the saw done before the GTG otherwise I'd be happy to see the install tool in action!
Bring the other crank and maybe I can find another saw or just case half for that one LOL :)

1000 Apologies, I plumb forgot to look this morning for a crank for you. I did however look just now and I do have a junk set of 371 cases here with a good crank in it. If you would still like it I can split the cases apart and send it to you. Again sorry for being tardy, I hate that. Lol

Hey Stump Shot -- that would be great. Matty is still a bit interested in holding on to the OEM crank he has so if you can make one available from your bone pile that would be great!

Can you PM a price including shipping to 01523 you are comfortable with?

That's easy, no price, just PM me your address and when I can, I'll just send it to you. I'll start taking it apart soon. :)

Oh man -- I'll make it up to you somehow. If you give me a Paypal address I'd be happy to send you some $$$ so you can help fund other chainsaw parts or take the wife out to dinner, whatever you'd like!

A big Thank you Stump Shot!

LOL even without a significant other just say the word I'd be happy to pony up some $$$. Thanks again.
If I can't do a favor for you I'll certainly continue to pay it forward with folks on this excellent forum.

Please just pass it on forward. Was able to get it on out of the case OK. Used a Husqvarna puller, not some rebar and a hammer. Crank looks like it is in good shape. Not sure when I'll get to town, but when I do I'll send it to you.
